Skelly - Lambretta LI 150

Owner: Micheal Cherry, Lancashire.
Name of Scooter: Skelly. Lambretta LI 150

Michael has been around scooters all of his life and has owned this particular scooter for 8 years. Getting into scooters at a young age inspired by his older brothers he has never looked back.

I first noticed his scooter when it won a trophy recently at the Llandudno National Rally, and he has been kind enough to fill in our questionaire.

Engine: Small Block with a 175 top end
Engine Specifics: Five plate clutch,12 volt variatronic electrics,18mm Dellorto carburettor.

The scooter runs very well and Michael rides to local Rallies & Ride-Outs as a Member of The Independent Scooter Collective, so far, the furthest trip Skelly has travelled is to the Isle of White.

Special Mention needs to go to David Donald, Scotland. David originally built the scooter, which was then rebuilt by Michael when he changed the scooters engine & various other parts.

I would describe this scooter as a typical looking “Skelly” from the 70’s and have to commend Michael on the liberal use of kitchen utensils for individuality.

Michael intends to continue attending various rallies, he is active in the scootering community so if you don’t know him already you should see him about, to this day his favourite memories are of riding with a group of like minded individuals.
